The Tampa Downtown Partnership’s annual Urban Excellence Awards program was created to celebrate
individuals, businesses, organizations, events and projects that have created a positive and lasting impact in
Tampa’s Downtown. After twelve years, the Partnership set out to reimagine the event and achieved this
through solidifying the award categories and criteria, broadening our nomination outreach and increasing
attendance. Last year, we had a record-breaking 230 nominees & finalists, winners, members, and supporters
in attendance creating a fun and memorable night to remember. This year’s nominees and finalists truly
reflected the leadership, innovation, talent and community spirit of Tampa’s Downtown. Downtown has a
momentum going that can’t be stopped and YOU are rolling right along with it!

The Park Tower ownership group – City Office REIT, Feldman Equities and Tower Realty Partners – is pleased that the Park Tower renovation has garnered this recognition for making a positive and significant contribution to Downtown and demonstrating a commitment to assist in revitalizing the Downtown area. We think activating the streetscape with stunning new lighting and opening the storefronts including a new Buddy Brew Cafe may have had something to do with it.
